Oh seeker of knowledge! Rise! Don't sleep, For verily time is slipping quickly, So as long as you live, Be stingy with it... As being stingy with time, Is the epitome of generosity

Let your comfort be in your learning and seek joy from it, As tomorrow you will be a leader, To the nations...

And take advantage of your youth Before the sword of old age Cuts your determination. And avoid as much as you can, Meddling into, mixing, overreacting, Over sleeping and vile speech. And befriend a noble person, And do not pile up... For how many pile ups, dear friend, were deprived

And if you aspire something, go for it; And do not fill your mind with that inconceivable. Be kind to every natural disposition.

So if you truly want status, oh my Friend, In this world and the next, Then be pleased with the pen. And be sincere to your lord And act by what you learn Even if by it you are pained And be patient, persevere And do not be lazy.... As achievements are based on determinations
